A Glimpse into Heaven

Let me tell you about heaven.

It was a stressful night, some nervous moments, some funny times, some painful efforts and then silence for about 20 seconds when I peeked into heaven. That short amount of time after a baby is born-just before he cries his first cry. That heavy silence where no one dares to breathe and only hopes. That exact moment when a new life joins us here, in the bustling, loud, bright, cool world we call earth. The atmosphere changes for a brief moment to the thickness of a warm, soft fleece blanket wrapped around your shoulders. It is a feeling that is the most difficult to describe, but you can almost feel it again when you think about it.

I am so touched and grateful I was able to be there.
